A Fun and Free Healthy Lifestyle Programme for Children aged 7 -15 years
The Service
Step 1 – The Power Of Knowledge
Practical knowledge from fun activities! For the first 10 weeks we deliver MEND (Mind, Exercise, Nutrition and Do It!). This is a successful weight management programme created by experts, which is enjoyed by many across the world.
Step 2 – The Power Of Inspiration
You can take part in a wide range of activities, such as: fun cooking, games, football, swimming, dance, boxercise, urban rebounding, walking challenge…
Step 3 – The Power Of Support
You will have friendly, enthusiastic and qualified staff to host all sessions in a fun, sensitive, safe and productive environment. Meeting other WISH families, you will find it becomes much easier to make lifestyle changes amongst supportive friends.
Eligibility
To take part in WISH, children must be between 7 to 15 years of age, have a body mass index above the healthy range and be a resident in Wolverhampton.

About Us
Wolverhampton Inspiring and Supporting Health (WISH) is a consortium of local organisations, lead by TLC College and commissioned by Wolverhampton PCT. The partners include: School Sports Partnership, Formula GFi, West Midlands Fire Service, City of Wolverhampton College, Mind, Exercise, Nutrition and Do It! (MEND), Wolves in the Community, DC Leisure, Heantun Housing Association and the Wolverhampton Adult Education Service.
WISH is a three-year programme that aims to share expert and practical health information; encourages children and their families to adopt healthier eating habits, get more active and have fun taking part in activities such as urban rebounding and cookery sessions.
Up to 360 children a year have the chance to improve their lifestyle through achievable step-by-step changes that engage all the family.
