NEIGHBOURHOOD SUPPORT PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project offers a range of training and development services for young people. This project aims to encourage young people back into education, training or employment through developing their social & basic skills. The project also aims to support young people with employment skills and development. The project links with other service providers to support young people as part of their development.
AIMS
To encourage young people to return to education, training or employment. To assist in the development of self-esteem and self confidence. To address the barriers of exclusion faced by young people. To provide young people with personal life skills required to make positive life changes. To improve young people's academic attainment.
FEATURES
Recognised qualifications, Issue based courses, 1 to 1 support, Personal development, Access to variety of training and employment, leisure activities, etc.

TARGET GROUP
The project will target young people aged 13-19, this includes: Young people who are disengaged or at risk of becoming disengaged from the mainstream. Young people who lack in self-confidence and self-esteem. Ethnic minorities.
BENEFITS
Increased motivation, self awareness, confidence and positive self image. Attainment of nationally recognised qualifications, progression into education, training or employment. Devlopment of skills, knowledge and attitude required for adult life. Improved attainment within schools.
