Overall aim:

Families In Focus offers a programme of support to tackle a diverse range of difficulties that can occur in family life.

  • Unemployment
  • Poor school attendance
  • Emotional stress
  • Mental Health & Physical Health
  • Substance misuse
  • Families living in priority areas.
  • Anti-Social or criminal behaviour
  • Child In Need or Child Protection

A team of experienced workers will engage with other services in their aim of getting families to a point where they can support themselves.

Family In Focus Service

Each family is assigned a suitable key worker; who will be available outside traditional hours. Support is available for up to 1 year. This worker will provide a diverse and “hands on” response to family needs.
This plan will be created and agreed by the whole family; the key development worker and any other involved agencies. The plan will be regularly monitored and reviewed to ensure family goals are being achieved.
-Parenting and relationship conflicts.

– Positive activities & Mentoring

– Introducing good family routine in the household.

– Employment & Volunteering

– Finance and Benefits advice.

– Healthy Lifestyle

– Child Tutoring

– Social Care

– Language and Culture appropriate support where available.

Families will be able to tap into specialist partnership support.
